Welcome back to the harem tour. Medium size and large harems had their own harem doctor. A physician, who took care of all medial issues in the harem. From minor illnesses, child delivery to cosmetic bodily corrections and improvements. The major task of every harem doctor was the compliance and subsequent enforcement of required Muslim feminine chastity. Therefore, each and every of these harem doctors was an accomplished circumciser. The absolute majority of harem physician were women. Only few were men. Every male doctors would have to be before entering the harem service completely emasculated. Harem female doctors were usually between 35 and 70 years of age. Mostly Turks and Arabs, but some were recruited by the Pasha from Europe. My harem physician and surgeon is actually British.
