This is a collection of tips/suggestions for using Imagefap, which I have told some users privately & I don't want to rewrite them another 6 times for another specific user's case. Most of these tips are for uploaders & getting more people to see your content, though Nr. 3 & 4 are probably also useful to know for a normal user who only browses the site. These seem to have worked well for the users that I have told them to, but I take no responsibility if these don't work out for you.

1. Don't upload new images to existing galleries
Imagefap has no algorithm which suggests content it thinks the user may like, as on some social media sites. Most users will probably find new content through the first few pages of category and search results, maybe some more dedicated users through clubs and other people's favorites. As such it's pretty important to know that uploading new images to old galleries does not push those galleries into the newer pages of results or even alert your followers/fans that you uploaded new images.
You could of course notify your fans per status update that you added new images to a gallery. Anecdotally, however, only a small percentage of your fanbase is actually going to do the (usually) 5 clicks required and look for where you told them the new images start in that gallery. As one uploader, who I suggested creating new galleries instead of adding new images to old galleries to, had a fanbase of around 430 users and only got 35 views on average on his new images after a few months. Because of this I'd advise to create new galleries instead, though be mindful of tip Nr. 5.
If you create content that is often similar, it would be best for your galleries' titles to either be numbered ("My photos 7"), dated ("My photos - Jan 2025") or descriptive ("My photos - Red dress").
2. Use the tag system appropriately
When you are in edit mode for a gallery, you can add up to 10 tags to your gallery by clicking "[edit tags]". This is a great way to link your gallery to similar galleries of other uploaders or your own with the same individual tags. There is however one caveat, individual tags have to be the exact same, so the tags "breast" & "breasts" do not link to each other.
Because of this, it's best to keep tags as short and uncombined as possible. Say you have a gallery of photos of big-breasted MILFs, it would be a bad idea to just tag it as "big-breasted milfs" instead of "big breasts", "milfs" and/or "milf". If you however have not used up all your 10 tags, there is no harm in also including "big-breasted milfs".
Also, don't make the mistake of separating the tags with a comma like on most other sites, Imagefap separates tags by a new line.
3. Gallery tags and categories are NOT searched for in the searched terms
Imagine there is a gallery that has as one of its tags "milf", but has the word "milf" in neither the title or description. As stupid as it sounds, if you just normally search for "milf" this gallery will not show up. The regular search only looks for search terms in the title and description.
As such it's a good idea to at least weave the most important tags into the title or description. The same also applies to the categories a gallery has.
4. The search system is a bit weird
There are a few quirks about the search system:
- When the first search term is searched for it can include text before it
- When the last search term is searched for it can include text after it
- When using multiple search terms, the results will first display galleries that include all search terms and then galleries that only include a partial amount of the search terms
What does that mean? Let's say there is a gallery that includes "big", "breasts" & "boobs" in either the title or description, but NOT the word "breast" alone.
Now, if you search...
- "east", this gallery will show up in the results, as east is both the first and last search term and is included in the word "breasts"
- "big breast" (without quotes), this gallery will also show up.
- "breast big" (without quotes), this gallery will NOT show up in the first results as not all search terms are included, but the gallery will show up in the later results as "big" still matches one of the two search terms.
- "breasts boob big" (without quotes), same as above.
5. Space out uploads and don't upload too few or too many images
This is mostly important for people who create original content, be it photos that they take themselves or original creative content, to not burn oneself out: Again, Imagefap has no algorithm. The time when your content is going to be the most seen are the first few days/hours, as it will still be in the first few pages of category & search results.
Let's imagine the following:
- You have taken 40 erotic photos of either yourself or someone else and want to upload these photos to Imagefap.
- Assume that most people on Imagefap are only going to look at the first 5 pages of category/search results.
- Assume that every 2 days enough galleries are created for the categories you want to post to, that your gallery would land on page 6 after 2 days.
If you upload all 40 photos to a single gallery, your content will get attention for 2 days. If you however first upload 20 photos and then, after 2 days, upload the other 20 remaining photos, you will have eyes over your photos for 4 days overall. Sure, some of these may be the same eyes, it's however safe to assume that not every user is going to spend every waking moment of their life on Imagefap and a lot probably only go on to Imagefap once or twice a week.
It's also worth mentioning that there is always going to be a gradual drop off in views, as some people will be satisfied with what they have seen in your gallery and move on. So you may even get less views overall if you just post one gallery. Keep in mind though, that no one likes to look at galleries with only 1-3 images or someone spamming multiple galleries in a short time span.
The ideal amount of images to include is of course subjective, but I personally find the following amount to be good:
- Non-original content
- 16+ (can of course be less if very specific)
- Your own photos
- 8-24 (Really depends on how different the shots are & how much editing was done)
- Your own creative works like illustrations, captions, etc.
As for how long you should space out your uploads? I would look at the categories you intend to post your galleries to and look at how long ago the galleries on the categories' 5th pages were uploaded and weigh which category seems like the most important. Overall however, I wouldn't upload more often than once a day, unless your galleries are very varied and posted to different categories.
6. Use clubs
Pretty self-explanatory, join clubs that fit content you post and add your fitting galleries to them. Do read the club's description and club's forum for rules though, if there are any. Engaging with clubs is mostly important for longer-term exposure, as the feed of clubs is usually much slower than the normal search & category results and to get people interested in your content if they are looking for something very specific.
7. Videos do not show up in your fans' newsfeed
New videos you post do not show up on your fans' newsfeed. It's probably best to let your fans know that you posted a video by either posting a status update or by creating a gallery with stills or GIFs from the video and mentioning the video.
8. Some comments don't generate alerts
The following comments do not generate alerts for you:
- Comments on your status updates
- Comments on your blog posts
So if you posted a status update or blog post, you should probably check for comments every few days.
9. All PNGs and JPEGs are converted to lower-quality JPEGs
This is only important if you do any editing to your photos or make general creative works. In general I would advise to upload your images as PNGs if possible. While PNGs are also converted to lower-quality JPEGs by ImageFap, you avoid lowering the quality an additional time this way while exporting your work.
10. "How do I..."
Just some things that are a bit unintuitive to figure out, which may be useful:
- ...Change the categories of a gallery after I already created it? (Default link in galleries doesn't work, lol)
- "My fap" on top of page -> "My Content" -> "Gallery Listing" -> "Change Genres" (three dots with lines)
- ...Make it so a certain gallery is always the first result on my profile's gallery listing?
- "My fap" on top of page -> "My Content" -> "Gallery Listing" -> Check "Frontpage" and then click "Save Order" further down
- ...Add my gallery to a club?
- "My fap" on top of page ->"My Clubs" -> "Add Galleries"
